21 -22  Octobre 2021

Our territories are constantly evolving. For this reason, major urban development projects focus on the implementation of planning measures on a given urban territory integrating the different territorial scales. These approaches, which are often very costly and long in duration, rarely take into account the more local and social dimensions they face as a result of their direct relationship with the neighborhoods they traverse and border. However, these daily dynamics are equally crucial for urban renewal, to ensure ownership by the users involved. Therefore, how can the link be made between these large urban development projects and the more local approaches, area-based work?

On the basis of two urban development projects in Genk: C-mine and Thorpark, the masterclass will ask why establishing links between these two approaches and scales is so important and with what frequency, intensity, objectives and purposes should the bridges be built?

21 & 22 oct, from 10am to 7pm, in Genk
